Tıbbi Uygulama Hataları: Hemşirelik Öğrencilerine Yönelik Eğitimlerin Etkinliğinin Değerlendirilmesi

Abstract

Amaç: Bu araştırma, hemşirelik öğrencilerine yönelik verilen tıbbi uygulama hataları eğitiminin öğrencilerin tıbbi hataya eğilimleri ve tıbbi hatalara yönelik tutumları üzerindeki etkisini değerlendirmek amacıyla yapılmıştır.
Gereç ve Yöntem: Araştırma, yarı deneysel tek gruplu ön test–son test tasarımında gerçekleştirilmiştir. Çalışmaya 2022–2023 eğitim-öğretim yılı güz yarıyılında bir devlet üniversitesinin hemşirelik bölümünde öğrenim gören 185 öğrenci katılmıştır. Veriler Tanıtıcı Bilgi Formu, Hemşirelikte Tıbbi Hataya Eğilim Ölçeği (HTHEÖ) ve Tıbbi Hatalarda Tutum Ölçeği (THTÖ) kullanılarak toplanmıştır. Veriler, tanımlayıcı istatistikler, bağımlı gruplarda t-testi, Cohen’s dz etki büyüklüğü ve %95 güven aralıkları kullanılarak analiz edilmiştir.
Bulgular: Eğitim sonrasında HTHEÖ toplam puan ortalamasındaki artışın (x̄=227.03) ön test değerine (x̄=216.48) göre istatistiksel olarak anlamlı olduğu ve etki büyüklüğünün küçük düzeyde olduğu bulunmuştur (p<0.05; Cohen’s dz=0.23). Benzer şekilde, THTÖ toplam puan ortalamasının da ön test değerine (x̄=3.58) göre son testte (x̄=3.73) anlamlı düzeyde arttığı, ancak etki büyüklüğünün düşük düzeyde kaldığı belirlenmiştir (p<0.05; Cohen’s dz=0.17).
Sonuç: Eğitim sonrasında HTHEÖ ve THTÖ toplam puanlarında anlamlı artış saptanmıştır. Ancak etki büyüklüklerinin küçük olması ve kontrol grubunun bulunmaması nedeniyle değişimlerin yalnızca eğitime bağlanması mümkün değildir. Hasta güvenliği eğitimlerinin tekrarlanan ve uygulamalı yöntemlerle desteklenmesi önerilmektedir.
